Not sure you all know this but we do a lot of International shipping. Sometimes it amazes us on how much International shipping we really do. So hence the reason for this blog. Had a lady in Portugal contact us the other day and she wanted to get a few thing, so we offered to give her a shipping quote which is standard practice. Now most of our International shipping goes through the Post Office, but this lady wanted hers to go UPS International. I can honestly say this was a first for us to ship UPS International, so we set out to get her a shipping quote. Now to be fair we did a quote through the Post Office and one through UPS, and I can tell you that shipping UPS was almost 3 times more expensive than through the Post Office. We were just sure she would go with the Post Office due to the cost. Well to our surprise she chose UPS because she says UPS ships to her in Portugal in about a week and through the Post Office she says it takes her a month to get her items and that customs is a pain in the well you know. So I packed up her items, 1 of them being our fantastic Shear Comfort Seat Savers. So on the 30th of July I ship her package UPS Express (Saver) which is the way UPS told me it had to go. To my surprise on Friday August 1st at about 3:00pm CST we got an email from this customer and she had gotten her package and was just thrilled with her purchase. Okay so did you all read that? Yes, I shipped that package on July 30th and she already had it on August 1st, in Portugal. We are like....what? It only took UPS 2 days to get her package to her in Portugal and she says that they take care of all the customs and duties and that she gets her package absolutely worry free. She says it is completely worth it to her to not have the headaches of customs and all. We were in total shock. Most of our shipments that we get at the store take dang near a week to get to us from inside the states, go figure. We were so amazed by this that we just had to share our story with all of you. Before I end this I want to take a moment and wish all the Tevis riders and horses the best of luck, and as always Ride Hard and Stay Safe. :)
