Wanted to share with you a picture of all the bridles that The Distance Depot was asked to make for the Young Riders Completion Awards for the National Championships being held in Lexington, KY. It is such an honor to be asked each year to make these completion awards for these Young Riders. This years Traditional Trail Halter Bridle is Black beta with Silver Biothane overlay on the brow and nose. We think these bridles are very sharp. Doing some remodeling here at the store in the work area, getting new work stations and new cabinets for storage. Kent has been working hard on getting everything installed and looking good. Don't know what we would do without him. :)

New Equine Outfitters tanks, tees and socks are here and they are really nice. They don't call them the Dang Best Boot Sock for nothing, these socks are awesome. They come in crew and knee high. The new Alek Scoop Neck Tees and Heartbreaker Tanks are amazing as well. Light weight moisture wicking material makes these tops a summer favorite.

We are so excited to be getting two new beta colors. They are Electric Blue and Teal and are really pretty colors. Can't wait for Kristen and Traci to start making tack with these new colors. We think you are going to like these new color additions.

Lots of great things have been happening here at the store lately. Not sure where to start there is so much to tell you about.

First I guess should be the New Free Fast Shipping. We are now offering Free Shipping on order over $100.00 and under 10lbs. *Some restrictions do apply. This new service came along just in time for the new Lyte Now BOGO offer. Until the end of April, for every 80cc tube of Lyte Now you purchase we will match with a 30cc tube for Free, yes Free.

Next would be the new products that we are getting in the door and more on the way. We have some really great summer riding attire. The Kerrits Ice Fil in tanks, short sleeve shirts and the new Ice Fil Tech Tight with anti slip seat. Also Kerrits has come up with a nice lightweight jacket that is wind and waterproof and even has reflective piping for greater visibility at night. These new items are sure to keep you cooler on those warm summer days. Also before long we are going to have some great new products from Equine Outfitters. Their Noble Equine line of clothing and socks are fantastic and we can't wait to get them in the store.

As always Kristen and Tracy are hard at it making new tack items. The newest is a Side Pull Bridle Combo. This new combo can be used as a side pull or you can add a bit using the bit attachments that come with this combo. This makes a great little riding tool for that horse that is rearing to go at the beginning of the ride but slows down and settles in about half way through.

The mobile store has been on a whirlwind tour across the country in the last couple weeks. First they were in Oklahoma at the NATRC Convention, then it was off to Florida for the F.I.T.S. FEI Endurance Ride and now they are in Atlanta Georgia at the AERC Convention. The trip has been fun and exciting, getting a chance to catch up with folks we don't often enough get to see. We are hoping everyone will stop by and visit our booth at the AERC Convention. We still have lots of tack, Shear Comfort Seat Savers and other new inventory items for everyone to see. Well today is the day the mobile store is pulling out and heading for Oklahoma City for the NATRC Convention. Lots and lots of new tack has been made and packed in the trailer along with several new items that we don't even have on the website yet so those of you at the convention are going to get a first hand look at the new items. Stop by and see us.

Hello everybody, sorry it has been so long since our last blog. We were so busy with the holiday season that we got a little behind on our blogging. But good things are ahead for us this new year.

Coming up in the next couple of months will be doing a lot of traveling. The mobile store is going to be headed out to the NATRC Convention in Oklahoma, F.I.T.S. FEI Endurance Rides and the AERC Convention in Georgia. The sewing machines around here are humming trying to get everything made in time for the mobile stores departure. Plus Kristen and Kent will also be going to some buyers conventions to check out possible new products for the store.

We are so excited that the V-MAX Enduro watches have finally arrived and are back on the website and in the mobile store for those of you who like a little more than what the Basic watch offers. It is going to be available in the V-MAX Equine Heart Rate Monitor riding system and also with the V-MAX Heart Check.

We are also now carrying the Sore No More Performance Gelotion and Poultice which are now FEI compliant. These products can be used before, during and after competition and with or without wraps.

New Camo Tack

We had a great week at work designing new tack. We now have Biothane Padded Breast Collars in Pink, Green and Orange Camo. They are so awesome looking and we are making bridles in it also. We have a Western Bridle and a Traditional Trail Halter/Bridle also. We are going to make reins too so you will be able to purchase a whole set of Camo tack. It really is the coolest looking stuff. We can even make dog collars out of it if someone would want one for say a hunting dog or even just a fashionesta dog. LOL! You will have to stop by our online store and check them out. We don't have the bridles or reins on line yet but hopefully Monday we will be able to get the products made so you can see them also.

We also got in Weatherbeeta winter blankets and they really are great winter blankets. If you have never had one you should really check them out. After hauling 8 head of horses to be shod yesterday in the frigid cold, ok so it was 31 degrees but the wind was blowing so it felt a lot colder, I think my horses appreciated their winter blankets. I know it made me feel better to have them blanketed going down the highway in an open stock trailer. I know there is that whole controversy...to blanket or not to blanket, but that my friends is for another day. Stay warm until next time.
